Why a Rollerball Pen?

Rollerball pens are also a bit more durable than fountain pens, in the sense that you can lend a rollerball pen to a friend. Lending a fountain pen to someone else can lead to problems, especially if they have never used one before! Fountain pen nibs also get 'used' to their owner, that is, they have a memory. And if not careful, a friend could break your fountain pen nib!
Handmade rollerball pens do not have this issue, making them ideal in a corporate setting. They travel well, even on airplanes. They are easy to use, since they only need a cartridge.
Care of Rollerball Cartridges
Most rollerball pens have a cap that covers the tip of the pen. This is to help prevent the ink from drying out (although there are rollerball refills designed specifically for capless pens). Since the ink is typically water-based, the ink dries on the paper, essentially as the water evaporates. One point to consider is that since the ink flows better than a ballpoint pen, the experience is a little 'wetter'. If this is a concern, look for a refill that uses a gel-based ink. These inks are a bit closer to a ballpoint pen experience, and have the side advantage of having the ink in the cartridge not dry out as quickly.
Although the tips may look similar, a rollerball refill is functionally different from a ballpoint refill. From a slight distance, they look similar, but the cartridge shapes are not the same, and as such they can not be interchanged. The tip of the pen is very important and you will typically find a ceramic tip in a rollerball (again, think smooth) versus a steel ball in a ballpoint. This is important for a great writing experience.

Some of the Worlds Best Unknowns - Khao Sok National Park
Having traveled to many places around the world to see the
wildlife and experience the jungle and rainforests around the world
which include most of Europe, South America, most of Africa and
Australia. There is a brilliant little Rainforset in Thailand which is
located in Surat Thani which is called the Khao Sok National Park. I am a
naturalist and wanted to see the wildlife that many of my friends who
are also naturalists have been boasting about.
In South America, you have the Amazon rainforest which is the most famous and biggest of them all, but meter for meter the Khao Sok rainforest is a lot more diverse and I am surprised it is not more popular than it is today. While many tourists are starting to visit this amazing place, it's still not known by your average person.
I had a chance to stay at a beautiful tree house that was provided to me by Khao Sok Paradise Resort which I highly recommend, just waking up hearing the birds sing and going for a morning walk just makes you feel alive. Sleeping in one of their tree houses was definitely a great choice and is the staff and even the people in Khao Sok are very friendly.
The huge limestone cliffs and water ways are spectacular but that is not the only thing you will notice, the amount of birds you see and hear just make the whole experience even better. Some of the animals you can see are the Dusky Langur, Asian Elephant, Tiger (although I didn't see it), Wild Boars, barking deers and much more. One of the highlights was seeing all the wildlife in the Khlong Saeng Wildlife Sanctuary which is only can be describes as being full of life.
The greenery and vegetation is also beautiful, they have the Rafflesia flower which is a huge flower that blooms after 9 months and then die within a week, it spans about 90 cms.
There is many places around the world that are beautiful, but I think bang for your buck, the Khao Sok rainforest which is located in the national park is up there with the best in the world.
There is several different ways you can get to Khao Sok. The quickest way is to catch a flight to Phuket and then get a taxi from about $50 to $100 US dollars, but this also depends on your bargaining skills.
Many people who do go to Thailand go for the beaches in the south and see Hilltribes up North, but I think if your in Thailand, you should try and go to Khao Sok because it will be something you will never forget and just seeing so much wildlife and beautiful surroundings is an unforgettable experience.

Olympic body challenge: You are what you eat

A journey of a thousand miles starts with just one step. But no matter how flat the road may be, that first mile is always a bitch.
And so it was with my three-month challenge to look and feel like an Olympian before the London 2012 games kick off in the UK capital in July.
With the help ofMaximuscle, the UK and Europe’s number one nutrition brand, I am ditching the junk food and hours slumped on the sofa in front of the TV in favor of a healthy diet, the gym and heart-pumping exercise and sport.
However, the biggest hurdle so far has not been working up a sweat in the gym, but denying myself the food and drink which I have, for years, derived so much pleasure from.

Ideas For Fashion Photography
There are a million different concepts and ideas when it comes to fashion photography. It is a highly searched term, and many of the ideas really depend on if you are doing an editorial or fashion project for kids or adults. I have listed below some ideas, that may help you get your ideas going as well.
White Backdrop.
One of the most classic fashion photography settings is a simple white backdrop. It is one of my personal favorites! So clean and classy, you can't go wrong, or can you? Well yes you can, unless you are a professional photographer, you probably shouldn't attempt a white backdrop. It is so simple, yet so difficult to edit. The RGB color for white is "ffffff" and that is very difficult to get without blowing out your subject. Do your research, or if you already know how to shoot against a white backdrop, then don't over think "fashion photography", sometimes simple is best.
Whimsical.
Think of a whimsical type setting, I do many of these types of settings for my editorials because I love whimsical type feels. Think vines, trees, forests, ponds and don't try to recreate them but try to do more of an "abstract" type feel, not literal. If you try to make it look like it is really outside when you are shooting in a studio, it can end up looking very cheesy.
Green Screen.
Do your shoot against a green screen and then put whatever type of feel you want for the backdrop. Again, be careful with this as well, if you are not a professional photographer that knows how to do this type of technique, you should master it first as it can also end up looking very cheesy if it is done poorly.
Setting Already Created.
Go to an old vintage home, or an ice cream parlor. Go to a place where the whole scene is already created, then you will spend a lot less money, but also have a very authentic scene. I have thought of going to old pawn shops, brick buildings, alleys, etc.
Stay away from hair pieces, and makeup that is too distracting but focus more on the fashion itself. You never want to have a scene for fashion photography that is so distracting your focus is drawn to the background and scene before you actually notice the clothing. The fashion is what it is supposed to all be about.
